Afternoon of service at Kingfisher Creek

Volunteers spent Sunday afternoon, March 27th, aiding the environment by planting a variety of small bushes and trees along Kingfisher Creek in Campbell River. Soil was added along parts of the shoreline, then holes dug and the young plants were deposited into their new homes. Mulch was then placed around each plant to help hold the water. Volunteers ended the day with a clean up of the area, and a walk to see the work that Greenways and school groups have accomplished along the Haig-Brown property.

Thanks to Chuck for organizing this event and providing the tools and plants. Thanks also to

Rose-Reta and Aolani for the refreshing teas and cookies, and to Judy and JL for the comfortable seating!
